Eloquently curated by Eibh Collins of IndieCork Festival and supported by the Embassy of Ireland in a selection of some of the latest Irish shorts will be screened on the night. This festival is a celebration of how short film cinema emanating from the Emerald Isle, a journey of discovery into the land of mist and magic, enchanting landscapes and warm hospitality.
Like Irish landscapes the short films being screened are varied, genre-defying and fascinating, from realistic portrayals of real-life people to narrative and experimental. Hosted by Audrey Scerri, this festival is a unique alternative film distribution, exhibition platform as these Irish shorts are not screened at local cinemas or TV. One of the films that will be screened is Native starring Patrick Bergin (Sleeping with the Enemy). There will be a Q & A with Director/Co-Producer Linda Breathnach and Producer Marina Donahue who will be special guests at the event. Additionally the audience will be given the opportunity to vote for the best film and win prizes
The Irish Short Film Festival 2018 Malta Edition is being supported by the Embassy of Ireland in Malta, Bushmills Irish Whiskey, The Store by P Cutajar, Miracle Foods and Neriku Catering.
Tickets are on sale now, but as numbers are limited please contact us to buy tickets asap and avoid disappointment, as we cannot guarantee entry on the night without a ticket. Festival tickets can also be delivered to your residence.
