Duncan Micallef will be in action once again this weekend for the second round of the FIA European Drag Racing Championship at Tierp Arena in Sweden. Micallef and all those that are following him as the reigning champion of the Top Fuel Dragster Class, being the highest class in the championship, are hoping for a better performance and result than acquired at the Main Event at Santa Pod in England only two weeks ago.

This second round of the champioship is expected to have a greater impact on local motorsports, especially on Drag Racing. That is becuase three officials of the Malta Drag Racing Association, President Carmel Camilleri, Secretary Reuben Micallef and Carmel Galea are in Sweden to have training and experience in various fields of the sports and the overall operation of such an event.

Camilleri, Micallef and Galea are also accompanied by three officials of the Malta Motorsport Federation, Ruben Hili, Christian Muscat and Charlene Bartolo. This training was possible only after the same federation successfully applied for European funding under the Erasmus scheme.
