Malta with Agnoli, a future new project of Maltese Cycling

Friday, 8 June 2018, 09:51 Last update: about 7 years ago

The Malta Cycling Federation announces its new project between the same federation and Valerio Agnoli, an Italian road bicycle racer for UCI ProTeam Bahrain-Merida. This is going to be an exchange of experiences and an important collaboration between Italy and Malta to improve our small promising local riders.

Cyclists easily understand one another with just a glance, like for example the moment when you choose to go on the run. Valerio Agnoli and Pierluigi Terrinoni are the architects of this wonderful agreement between their cycling school and Malta in the formations of the Maltese youth team.

Valerio linked his name to the youth cycling formation of Malta. In fact, last weekend he was here in Malt, greeted by the main officials of the Maltese federation, President John Zammit and Secretary General Joe Bajada. He was present for the long session led by professional cycling coach Pierluigi Terrinoni as assisted by the Maltese technical director Etienne Bonello, who carried out Biomechanical and nutrition tests of about twenty young Maltese and Gozitan children and youths.

The Malta-Agnoli academy will allow young Italian and Maltese Juniors to race in Italy respectively. The Maltese Team will be strengthened by the union of the strengths and experiences of Valerio Agnoli and Pierluigi Terrinoni.

During the month of July, some Maltese boys will go for a training camp in Fiuggi, a town in the province of Frosinone in the Lazio region, in central Italy.

This is only the beginning of a new adventure that combines sport and education, values and social, but above all professional pedaling.
