The American skeet shooter Vincent Hancock took the highest podium position on Saturday, winning The Gold Medal in the skeet event of The ISSF World Cup Shotgun, Malta 2018.

In the second day of qualifications, Astkhov Anton from Russia qualified for the final stages with the highest score of 124/125 taking bib number 1.

Startsev Yaroslav from Russia qualified with 122/125 taking bib number 3. Delaunay Eric from France qualified with 121+6 taking bib number 4. Mehelba Azamy from Egypt qualified with 121+5 taking bib number 5. Rosetti Gabriele from Italy qualified with 121+1 taking bib number 6.

After a tight and spectacular finals the crowd present enjoyed the top world skeet shooters competing for the Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals whereVincent Hancock from USA won The Gold Medal with 56. Mehelba Azmy from Egypt won The Silver Medal with 54. Rosetti Gabriele from Italy won The Bronze Medal with 45.

The medal presentation ceremony was done by MOC President Mr. Julian Pace Bonello with the background of a beautiful Mediterranean sunset at The Malta National Shooting ranges at Ta Kandja in Siggiewi.

Meanwhile the Maltese skeet shooters that competed in Saturdays qualifications, Darren Vella managed 110/125, Bozidar Dimitrov managed 103/125, Marlon Attard managed 97/125, Jason Sciberras managed 93/125 and Marcello Attard managed 89/125.

The Trap event starts on Monday with the Ladies Trap event where Maltese female Trap shooter Michaela Galea will be in action.The public is invited to support the Maltese Athletes.
