Reconstruction works on Triq il-Wied in Hal Balzan will begin next week, Infrastructure Minister Ian Borg announced today, who referred to the road as 'one of the worst roads in Malta'.

The works will continue throughout the next few months until the end of the summer.

Along with the rebuilding of the road there will also be 1.2 km of pavement reconstructed, according to the minister.  Two trees will be uprooted in order for the works to proceed.

The works will be part of the pledge by the government to arrange roads across the country in a €700 million plan spanning over seven years.

Borg explained that these works will compliment the Central Link Project.
