How to truly stop the invasion of ‘irregular immigrants

Sunday, 17 June 2018, 08:23 Last update: about 9 years ago

Re the above subject, the only obvious way out for our government is to make it clear to the EU that it must order

(1): Frontex to truly, and effectively, stop these immigrants from leaving the Libyan and North African Coast

(2): If any of these immigrants are caught trying to enter our sea and/or approaching our shores they should be escorted by Frontex officials to a bigger strong boat or ship (after they are fed and given clean clothes) and forcibly sent back to North Africa where they came from to the first place/source of departure / embarkation.

There is no other alternative.

As Malta and Gozo are already overpopulated, we obviously have no available space for any more irregular immigrants.

By all means, give these “irregular immigrants” food and clothing and then send them back to North Africa.

I have been saying this all along and have written letters in the same vein repeatedly in the local and foreign press for the past 25 years.

This is the only solution.
