Last weekend the Major of Illoupoli 2018 was organised and there were 7 Maltese players participating, Angelo Borg, Jason Pisani, Massimo Cremona, Tristan Fenech, Mauro Camilleri, Josef Camilleri, Charlie Aquilina and John Zammit. Bormla Subbuteo Club participated also in the team category.
On Saturday the individual competitions were held and the best result from the maltese was obtained from Charlie Aquilina by winning the Veteran Category. Charlie Aquillina played his final against the Greek player Giorgios Aggelinas. The game finished 1-1 even after extra time so the game was decided by ‘shots’ were Charlie Aquilina won 4-3.
Bormla Subbuteo Club won the group with maximum points and made it to the semi-final in the team competitions, when they lost against the winners Falcons with the score of 3-1. Bormla Subbuteo club was composed of Charlie Aquilina, Mauro Camilleri, Josef Camilleri and the Greek players Alberto di Maggio and Pitsaris.
