Italian BMX Pro Rider, Alessandro Barbero conducted an interesting Training Camp between the 22-24th of June. The Malta BMX Ass hosted the first ever BMX training camp for 10 promising riders, who were all trained by Barbero for the whole weekend. Alessandro together with local coach Karl Naja went over all the important aspects of BMX riding and gave them valuable tips to improve their riding.

During the weekend, the local BMX riders were given the opportunity to be the first to try out the new foam pit which will be soon open to the public as the last finishing touches have been made.

Currently, the Association is also preparing for their yearly BMX Fest - Summer Edition,  which will be held between the 13th and 15th  of July. This will be a good preparation for three of Malta BMX's riders (Karl Naja, Mathias Mangion, and Luke Farrugia) which will be competing in an international competition in Latvia between the 27th and 29th of July, during the Ghetto Games Festival.

The association also released the dates for their international BMX Competition which will be held between the 30th - 2nd of December 2018. This edition will be the 5th Edition and the association is expecting to skip the record number of participants from the 25 that attended last year.
