Both northbound lanes on Regional Road have been reopened after the busy arterial road was blocked off when a bus skidded, becoming wedged between a wall and the central crash barrier. 

The accident happened at around 4.30pm, during rush hour traffic, and traffic piled up. 

Photos uploaded on the social media showed that the bus skidded on the wet tarmac, and became stuck just before the bend on the exit from the Santa Venera tunnels. 

An ambulance could be seen on site but the police said no one was injured in the crash.
