Stranded passengers complain of not being given accommodation by Air Malta

Thursday, 20 September 2018, 11:46 Last update: about 7 years ago

Around 60 passengers were left stranded at Orly Paris airport yesterday after an Air Malta flight was cancelled without any advanced warning.

Passengers vented their anger on Facebook saying that after waiting for more than five hours, they were informed that no hotel will be offered and instead they were given folding beds to sleep at the airport.

Flight KM466 was expected to leave Orly airport at 3:10pm. Around two hours later the passengers were informed that the flight was cancelled due to a number of pilots reporting sick concurrently. Another flight was expected to take on board these passengers and leave at 9:15pm but this was also cancelled.

Amongst the passengers taking this flight there were young children.

Air Malta apologised for the inconvenience caused to the passengers.
