It was a moment of hilarity as Nationalist MEP David Casa mixed up the name of the current PN leader with his predecessor when addressing a PN activity at the Granaries in Floriana on Wednesday.

When speaking about the current court action taken against the Attorney General, Casa mentioned “leader Adrian Busuttil”, a clear mix-up between incumbent Adrian Delia and the party’s previous leader Simon Busuttil.

It took Casa a few seconds to realise his mistake and correct himself, but the error has been repeatedly highlighted in the unforgiving social media.

The more cheeky commentators wondered whether it was a genuine mistake or whether Casa still believes that Simon Busuttil should still be the PN’s leader.
