George Mifsud won the Tazza Indipendenza Trap Competition at the Qormi Clay Shooting Club, an event that was organised on two qualification rounds of twenty five clay targets each and eventually the Final stages.

Mifsud was accompanied on the podium by Gianluca Chetcuti and by Michael Grech, who finished in second and in third place respectively.

Presenting the Medals and the Class Trophies were PN Secretary General Clyde Puli and Ryan Callus, Spokesperson for Youth and Sport.

The six Finalists in the Bib number order according to their qualification scores were, Gianluca Chetcuti 44/50, James Galea Jr. 43/50, Michael Grech 42/50, Stephen Aquilina 41/50, George Mifsud 39/50+3 and Rennie Deguara 39/50+2.

This weekend's official overall results were:

1^st George Mifsud 21/25 + 4/5 + 4/5 + 5/5 + 8/10, total score 42/50

2^nd Gianluca Chetcuti 20/25 + 4/5 + 3/5 + 4/5 + 8/10, total score 39/50

3^rd Michael Grech 21/25 + 4/5 + 4/5 + 2/5, total score 31/40

4^th James Galea Jr. 19/25 + 5/5 + 3/5, total score 27/35

5^th Rennie Deguara 17/25 + 4/5, total score 21/30

6^th Stephen Aquilina 16/25, total score 16/25

The top three Shooters in their respective classes concluded their two qualification rounds with the following scores;
