Monday, 8 October 2018, 11:43 Last update: about 8 years ago

In defence of the title of champions they won last season, MARSA WHITE STARS started with an impressive victory against WARDIJA 11-2. Ricardo Severino was in   brilliant form. He showed class in every thing he did and could not be stopped. He scored no less than five goals.

Marsa built up a good lead (4-1) in the first half with Wardija scoring their only goal in the last two minutes. After the break Marsa were superior and went 7-1 up, and Wardija could do nothing, only scoring another goal through Massimo Schembri. Marsa possess a team that seems it is already in full swing. They will again be one of the favourtes to win major honours this season.

Wardija got a lot of experienced players, but they must show more commiitment and coordinate better. They must prepare themselves better, and work as a team.

In the CISK MASTERS DIVISION ONE, TARGA GAP and  TAL-QROQQ had a tough game and a draw was a just result. These two teams made a lot of improvemnt from last season and DIVISION ONE League should be interesting. The game was a great tussle all the way with the result uncertain till the end. Referee kept calm and is to be congratulated for a good performance in such a difficult game.

TAL-QROQQ started well and went infront. But soon Targa Gap got the equiliser. The first half finished with Tal-Qroqq leading 3-2. The second thirty minutes, both teams were balanced and Targa Gap twice came from behind to earn a merited draw.
