On the 12th October 2018, an unforgettable and elegant evening of fine food and wine from the iconic Opus One Winery was held at Vini e Capricci Art & Events Suite.
Opus One Winery is located in Oakville, California, United States. The winery was founded as a joint venture between Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Chateau Mouton Rothscild and Robert Mondavi, to create a single Bordeaux style blend, based upon Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
By combining the great winemaking traditions and innovations of both families, the founders' singular goal was to create an exceptional wine in the heart of Napa Valley.
Guests were greeted with Champagne Lallier R.012 and canapés, followed by a four-course dinner paired with four exquisite wines namely, NV Overture, 2015 Opus One, 2011 Opus One / 2010 Opus One and 2005 Opus One.
Charlie Matthews, Area Manager for Europe enriched us with the history of Opus One Winery, as we enjoyed the renowned cuisine of Chef George Borg crafted specifically to pair with the incredible wines of this iconic winery.
