With reference to the letter 'Questionable credibility', I am not capable of commenting in a terse penetrating way like Guillaumier's so I will reply in the shortest way possible to ensure publication of my letter.
Only if miracles are possible is Christianity believable. The seven Eucharistic miracles I know of, all authentic, undisputable and accepted by everyone except you know who, are ample proof that He who created the world and "why should it be thought a thing incredible that God should raise the dead" (Acts 26:8) is equally capable of changing bread into His Body and Blood. This I astonishingly transubstantiated millions of times since the days of Jesus.
It is appropriate and factual that we live in AD 2018 - a period of time measured on impact with the birth of an extraordinary and Divine baby whose voice, when grown up, still resounds throughout the earth and his message to the ends of the world.
In spite of the contemptible sex-scandals, the Catholic Church will surely remain a domineering spiritual force in the world because of Jesus' promise: "I am with you all days, even into the consummation of the world" Matt 28:18, and when we have His word, it's enough.
But that's a question of faith!
