Thursday, 8 November 2018, 10:58 Last update: about 9 years ago

Vassallo Group CEO Pio Vassallo presented €10,000 collected through the Group's annual dress down day to Dr Victor Calvagna on behalf of Puttinu Cares. The presentation took place at the Rainbow ward in the Oncology division of Mater Dei Hospital.

Director of HR & Communications Charlo Bonnici was also present along with HR representatives from Vassallo Builders, CareMalta, CaterEssence and Vassallo Group.

Through this initiative managers and employees were invited to donate hours or days of leave to help in raising an attractive sum. Other activities were held such as a Hotdog day and Doughnut day where employees pitched in to handle all the necessary preparations to make these events successful while also raising more money for this worthy cause.

Vassallo Group takes pride in organising such events to help out the community as much as possible as part of its corporate social responsibility. And since they say charity begins at home, the Group also has its own Arkati Foundation, a solidarity fund solely to support employees of Vassallo Group going through difficult times.
