Matches in the MAPFRE/MSV Life PREMIER MASTERS LEAGUE competition are exciting and all games are worth watching. Teams like Marsa, Dingli and Wardija, are a little above the others, but they can be given a run for their money.  WARDIJA registered their first win  beating  VALLETTA  6-3.  Before the break they had already a good lead of 5-2 which was enough to get them  their first full three points. In the second half Valletta, inspired by the good play of the experienced Nikolai Filipov, scored first, but soon after WARDIJA scored again and from then on, they controlled well up to the end.

In the same league, MELITA gave a credible performance beating RABAT  6-4 in an interesting encounter. The game was played in the best sporting spirit.  Melita produced the best football, but RABAT was also creating good counter attacks. All in all, this was one of the best games of the season. Again Michael Galea was  on his mark, scoring a hat-trick.  As for Rabat, although having some players mssing, showed improvement from their last games.

Games from the other league, CISK MASTERS DIVISION ONE,  produced  no surprises and  MOSTA with a solid performance easily beat NAXXAR 13-3 to remain unbeaten at he top of he standings. Leandros Calleja and Cedric Sciberras scored no less than eight goals  between them.

JIVAl  lost again, but left  a good impression that they are confident  they can give good opposition to everybody. They lost aginst TAL-QROQQ  6-2.  The latter achieved another success and kept marching on. From four games they won three and one draw to keep second place.

ZURRIEQ WOLVES had a disappointing finish of the first round when they were beaten by TARGA GAP 6-2.  Having some regular players missing due to injuries, they were not of the same level of the opponents. Had Targa Gap had a deserved win to go third in the standings. Stephen Place had a good game and scored three.
