The Artistic Synchronised Swimming National Team Junior Duet kicked off its 2018/2019 season with a commendable11th overall position out of 36 participants at the Christmas Prize Competition held in Prague between 29th November and 2nd December 2018.

Executing precise and demanding aquatic manoeuvres, ANA CULIC and VANESSA MAIRANGAS, National Sports School Final year students, earned this position after an excellent partial 8th place in figures.

The competition was held at Hlobutnov Sport Complex with various national teams participating from three different continents.

Amongst the countries participating there was Russia, Belarus, Greece, Japan, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Curacao, Kazakhstan, Denmark, Slovakia and Poland.

Albertina Onsea, the National Coach was very satisfied with the results as the athletes advanced two points from their last international competition. In the coming months, more emphasis will be placed on the routines and gym preparation.
