Christmas Tournament  final spnsored by Zmerc Pub is to be a repeat of last season,  between TAL-QROQQ who continue to surprise with their play and the ever winners MARSA MARSA WHITE STARS.  They  secured a place in the final after beating MELITA and TARGA GAP.

As expected MARSA were better than Targa Gap and deserve to be in the final. Altough having Ricardo Severino and Mario Caruana injured, they still showed class, with Alexander Ribic having a great performance, scoring four and was the mastermind in the middle. Marsa dominated the first half and going for the break they already had a good lead of 6-1. Gilbert Scerri was in his usual mood and with his 'one to one'  play and accurate passing created good   opportunities for goal to his teamates. On the change of ends, Targa Gap came more into the picture and scored three in the last fifteen minutes to make the end score of 8-4 more reaiistic, Jean Bert Gatt was the best for Targa Gap.

We had quite an interesting game in the other semifinal, seeing TAL-QROQQ reaching the final for the second consecutive season after beating Premier Division team MELITA. Besides, the team as it  plays more games and  keep showing improvement, surely should be one of the teams that make it for promotion.

National coach should keep an eye on Carlo Leonardi who was the best player on show, especally in the second half where his runs on the right and ball control, created problems for the opponents. Melita is missing Michael Galea.  Without him their finishing was poor.  In the first half Melitia kept pace and went to rest leadng 3-2. However, they were surely stunned by their opponents  fast 'break  aways' as they were caught on the wrong foot.

For the final Marsa start favourites, but still, for Tal-Qroqq winnning or losing, is a great saisfacion in reaching such a final.
