The presentation ceremony for the 'Karting Sicilia Campionato Regionale 2018 Piste Permanenti' was held at Pergusa in Sicily by Karting Sicilia. This championship is very popular with Maltese Karting Drivers as although through the difficulties it poses to them it is the only championship they can compete in due to lack of facilities in Malta. The presentation was affected by adverse weather as well as a huge snowfall that caused a delay of 15hours.

Jake Agius and Nicky Gauci were confirmed and presented with the trophies for placing First and Second respectively in the ROTAX Max category.   

 

Other Maltese drivers also placed in noticeable position and got their awards in the ceremony although they were not present. These included: Kieran Galea and Alessio Guarnieri who classified 3rd and 4th in the 60 Mini Rok category, Kayden Bonnici Gauci who classified 5th in the 60 Entry Level category, Neville Zammit 4th and Luke Muscat 6th also in the Rotax Max category, and Jonathan Zammit 3rd in the 125 DVS Rok category.

All Kart Racing Drivers are members of the Karting Club Malta.
