Farsons supports Career Exposure Experience

Tuesday, 15 January 2019, 09:18 Last update: about 6 years ago

As part of its Careers in Manufacturing campaign, the Malta Chamber's Manufacturing Executive Board with the support of Malta Enterprise and the Education Psycho-Social Services (EPSS) section within the Ministry for Education and Employment, collaborated to organise a week-long, Career Exposure Experience for Form 4 students. As part of the  company's commitment to supporting its partners and students in offering developmental experiences, Farsons Group hosted two students from Gozo.

During this week, the students have been offered the opportunity to collaborate with - and experience - daily working life across the different operational departments, enabling them to acquire an understanding of what it would be like to be part of the manufacturing sector. More specifically, the company provided the students with an opportunity to experience the different jobs in the industry, helping them towards their future careers. Through our participation in such initiatives, Farsons hopes to promote the manufacturing industry to which, with time, it is becoming increasingly more challenging to attract talent.

Ms Mariella Galea, L & D Manager, said: "The students were keen about their experience with the company.  They were amazed at the size and growth of it and were impressed to see products that they commonly see on shop shelves actually being produced. We sincerely believe that work experience is extremely beneficial to young students and serves as an inspiration for their future careers."
