If you have not made any plans for today, think that it will be sunny – or partly cloudy – while the rest of the week will be rainy and thundery.

The seven-day forecast on the Malta International Airport website shows that while today there will be long sunny periods and the temperature will rise to a high of 17 degrees, as from tomorrow we will get to know February for the month that it really is – one of rain.

A Maltese popular saying – that February fills up the wells with water – is likely to be true this week as rain is predicted every day between Monday and Saturday.

The temperatures will also drop from a high 17 degrees on Sunday to 14 degrees for most of the week, with the lowest hovering between 9 and 11.
