Following the postponment of Round 4 due to bad weather and track conditions, the Gozo Motorcross Association organised its fourth round of the championship 2018 at Ta' Xħajma Track. Races started at 1pm.
Gozitan and Maltese riders came together to provide challenging and determined races of the season. In Class D, seven riders, mostly beginners, participated throughout three challenging races where nothing was truly determined until the very end. All of the riders pushed on until the very end. In this class yound Isaac Bartolo placed 1st followed by David Mercieca and Anthony Fenech respectively.
Class C was just as challenging with Jorn Stellini acquiring maximum points. In second place we find newcomer Daniel Portelli followed very closely by Mathhew Spiteri.
In Class B Glenn Vella showed maximum strength as he raced against Robert Spiteri who ended in second place behind Vella. Meanwhile in Class A, Steve Xuereb achieved first place followed by David Dimech.
The president, Frank Xuereb, handed trophies to each winner. Today's event was also supported by DBAR Bar and Restaurant.
Gozo Motocross Association announces that the next event will be Round 5 of this championship.This meet will take place on Sunday 17th of February 2019 at Ta' Xhajma motocross track. Races will start at 1pm.
The association encourages and welcomes new riders.
