Some areas were without electricity on Sunday morning but Enemalta personnel were working to restore power in these areas.

There might be some disruptions to the public transport system.

Gozo Channel ferries were still working despite the bad weather, Muscat said, thanking the company’s workers.

He also spoke about the damages suffered by farmers, who saw some of their crops destroyed after months of hard work. The government would carry out a study and apply for EU solidarity funds for these farmers.

The Prime Minister urged people to stay indoors unless it was absolutely necessary to wander out.
