Nico Sciberras, the current youngest athlete of the Malta Shooting Sport Federation won the E.A.R. Trap Trophy, an event that was organised on three qualification rounds of twenty five clay targets each followed by the Final Stages.
The rising star in the Olympic Trap discipline was joined on the podium by Paul Formosa and by William Chetcuti who finished in the second and in the third place respectively.
The six Finalists in the Bib number order according to their qualification scores were;
William Chetcuti with a decent score of 71/75, Paul Formosa with the score of 67/75, Stephen Vella hit 66/75, Nico Sciberras managed 65/75, Christopher Vella 63/75+1 and Nicholas Carabott 63/75+0.
The Finals results were
1st Nico Sciberras 22/25 + 4/5 + 3/5 + 5/5 + 8/10, total score 42/50
2nd Paul Formosa 20/25 + 4/5 + 2/5 + 5/5 + 8/10, total score 39/50
3rd William Chetcuti 19/25 + 3/5 + 4/5 + 4/5, total score 30/40
4th Christopher Vella 17/25 + 3/5 + 5/5, total score 25/35
5th Stephen Vella 15/25 + 2/5, total score 17/30
6th Nicholas Carabott 15/25, total score 15/25
The top three Shooters in their respective classes concluded their three qualifications with the following scores;
