Approaching the end of the season MAPFRE /MSV Life MASTERS PREMIER LEAGUE the main protoganist chasng the title remain DINGLI DESANA and the present  holders MARSA  HITE STARs. They won their last games but it was not easy as MELITA and VALLETTA made them work hard to get the three points. Dingli managed to beat Melita 5-4. During the first half teams wee balanced , with Dingli being more direct towards goal to finish 2-0 up with Melita losing some good scoring chances.   Alan Ellul after six minutes opened the  score and  Gareth Sciberras who had a good performance scoring the other.  In the second half  the game was more interesting with both teems going all out  With eight minutes left for the end, Dingli were leading  5-4, Melita went all out at least to get the equaliser, but  Dingli resisted strongly to hold well and get the three important points.

MARSA WHITE STARS  also consolidated their position in the standing after beating VALLETTA  7-6 in a difficult game.  Valletta deserved a better result  for their first half performance when they were playing well and finished infront.   Hwoever they lost their touch in the second half and MARSA took the initiative to get the goals and win the game.  As usual they had Ricardo Saverino and Alexander Ribic combining well together and got five goals, Saverino three and Ribic the other two. Valletta played well and had their captain Etienne Sammut having a good game scoring a hat-trick.  Nikolai Filipov was also good giving excellent passes and worked hard worked hard to keep the team going.  With this win Marsa closed the gap with Dingli in the standing and they are only a point behind, but Dingli have a game in hand.

In the CISK MASTERS FIRST DIVISION LEAGUE , NAXXAR registered another important win beating ZURRIEQ WOLVES 5-3 to continue challenging for promotion  when they are only a point behind Targa Gap.  One must mention that Naxxar had a good debut in Masters competitions. Although they started the season badly, by time they settled well and made good progress.  Against Zurrieq, Naxxar had Mark Deguara missing through injury.   At the end of the first half Naxxar were leading 3-1, but in the second half  play was balanced as Zurrieq reacted strongly and Naxxar had to use all their energy to defend well and keep up in the lead till the end. For Naxxar again Chris Abela was good and scored two goals and was an inspiration for his colleagues.
