On Sunday, the Malta Air Rifle & Pistol Shooting Club organized their thirteenth competition for 2018/19, held at the Larry Vella Hall indoor range in Bidnija. 

In the Air Rifle event, William Vella was leading the qualification round and with a score of 240.1 in the final round he won the competition, followed by Michael Xuereb with 217.0, and in third place Jeremy Pisani with 142.9.

In the Air Pistol qualification competition, Eleanor Bezzina took the lead and after the final round she won with 240.4, followed by Raymond Cacciattolo with 221.9 and in the third place Romeo Zuber with 189.9. 

Earlier this week, pistol shooter Eleanor Bezzina competed in the European Championships held in Osijek, Crotia, where 582 athletes coming from 46 countries particiapted.  She competed in the 10m Air Pistol event and scored a total of 571 and placed 15th from a total of 63 top european shooters. This is a postivie result in such high level competitions.
