No one was injured when a wall collapsed into a construction site in Sliema on Thursday afternoon.

The accident took place in Tower Road, near St Joseph school, at around 1230pm.

Several police cars, fire engines and ambulances rushed to the site but, luckily, there were no casualties.

Pictures show that the outer wall of a building that had been demolished and dug up collapsed inwards, missing a tower crane by inches.

The area was closed off as a precaution.
