On Sunday, League leaders Qormi Daikin and Sliema Hs registered comfortable wins against Floriana Young Stars and Rabat respectively. With two matches remaining, the two teams remain on equal points. Qormi Daikin still need to face White Hart and Rabat while Sliema Hs face Floriana Young Stars on Sunday and end their commitments against White Hart.

Following their defeat against Sliema Hs Qormi Daikin were hoping to recover quickly in their match against Floriana Young Stars but things did not go their way in the first half as Young Stars ended the half with a 1-0 lead courtesy of a goal from Jamie Mifsud on 28M. The half time pep talk must have been effective as in the space of nine minutes Qormi turned the game on its head with goals from John Williams (46), Juan Sarcia (52) and Steve Tanti (55). Mark Camilleri did pull one back for the Greens on 58M but a further two goals from Ayrton Falzon (63) and Luke Bajada (69) ensured that in the end Qormi Daikin took all two points. Shawn Mifsud and Reno Cremona umpired this game.

Two goals in each half ensured that Sliema Hotsticks took the points in their game against Rabat and kept the pace with Qormi. Captain Shawn Grima led the way with the opening goal (25m) and before the half was over Daniel Aguis doubled the score. Two further goals from Christian Sammut (38M and 57M) rounded off the 4-0 score-line. Paul Brincat and Keith Calleja were the umpires for this game.

Qormi Daikin and Sliema Hs are both back in action on Sunday with Sliema Hs facing Florina Young Stars at 9:00AM and Qormi Daikin up against White Hart at 11:00AM.
