Shooting: Brian Galea wins the Executive Guns & Ammo Club - Krieghoff Trap Trophy

Brian Galea, won the Executive Guns & Ammo Club - Krieghoff Trap Trophy, an event that was organised on three qualification rounds of twenty five clay targets each followed by the Final Stages.

This will give Galea a boost, since this Wednesday he will be travelling together with Team Malta to Al Ain, United Arab Emirates to compete at the second ISSF World Cup Shotgun of the season.

Junior Athlete Nico Sciberras placed in second place overall while Matthew Busuttil finished in third place.

The six Finalists in the Bib number order according to their qualification scores were;

Brian Galea score was 69/75, Christopher Vella scored 65/75, John Marmara hit 64/75, Matthew Busuttil managed 63/75+2, Charles Muscat 63/75+1 and Nico Sciberras 63/75+0.

 

The Finals results were

1st Brian Galea 21/25 + 4/5 + 4/5 + 5/5 + 8/10, total score 42/50

2nd Nico Sciberras 21/25 + 3/5 + 4/5 + 4/5 + 8/10, total score 40/50

3rd Matthew Busuttil 22/25 + 4/5 + 1/5 + 4/5, total score 31/40

4th Christopher Vella 20/25 + 3/5 + 3/5, total score 26/35

5th John Marmara 16/25 + 5/5, total score 21/30

6th Charles Muscat 11/25, total score 11/25

 

The top Shooters in their respective classes concluded their three qualifications with the following scores:

Class A

1st Brian Galea 69/75

2nd John Marmara 64/75

 

Class B

1st Christopher Vella 65/75

2nd Matthew Busuttil 63/75 (Countback Rule)

3rd Nico Sciberras 63/75

 

Class C

1st Charles Muscat 63/75

2nd Pierre Montebello 51/75 (Countback Rule)

3rd Jason Vella 51/75
