The Malta Football Referees Association has called off a strike that was planned to start on Friday after it reached an agreement with the Malta Football association.
The MFRA announced on Thursday evening that after six very difficult months referees were awarded a much-deserved increase in payments for their services.
The MFRA thanked the four members that have represented the association in such negotiations.
Now is the time to focus on the last games of the season and to move on, the statement went on to say.
