Travel arrangements for Maltese abroad – MEP Elections 2019

Travel arrangements are being made for eligible voters residing abroad to enable them to vote in Malta at the forthcoming MEP Elections on 25th May 2019.

For this purpose, Air Malta plc will be making available return air tickets on its regular scheduled services at a charge of €90, inclusive of taxes and other charges, to persons who are eligible to vote in Malta at the forthcoming MEP election.

Reservations may be made at the Air Malta Call Centre on this specific number (+356) 21 418 214. The centre will be open between Monday to Saturday from 08:00am to 10:00pm, and on Sunday from 08:00am to 05:00pm as from tomorrow Tuesday, 30th April at 08:00am.

Inbound travel to Malta is possible from 13th May 2019 to 25th May 2019, and return travel is from 25th May to 6th June 2019. Those persons who opt for early voting on the 18th May 2019 can travel to Malta from 13th May till 17th May 2019 to be able to apply at the Electoral Office, Naxxar Counting Complex by 12:00pm of 17th May 2019 at the latest. They may then fly back as of the 18th May 2019, but not later than 6th June 2019.

These travel arrangements are available for:

(a) Eligible voters, including those married to foreigners, studying, working or undergoing medical treatment abroad; and

(b) Dependents of the persons referred to in (a) above.

Person to whom this directive applies must be eligible voters whose name appears in the Electoral Register published on 13th April 2019.
