During the 3-day Easter International Swim Meet organized by ASA of Malta between the 25th and 27th April 2019 the following National Records were broken: Mya Azzopardi swam the 400m Medley and established a new National Record time of 05:06.42.
The previous record of 05:07.32 was held by Mya herself and was achieved in March 2019 in Halle. Mya swam the first leg of the 4x200m Freestyle Women event and established a National Record time of 02:08.24. The previous record of 02:09.44 was by Madelaine Scerri and was achieved in March 2008 in Australia.
In the same 4x200m Freestyle Women Relay the swimmers Mya Azzopardi, Sasha Gatt, Charis Ceccarelli and Francesca Falzon Young established a new National Record time of 08:47.80. The previous record of 08:58.15 was held by Nikki Muscat, Talisa Pace, Melinda Sue Micallef and Davina Mangion and was achieved in July 2011 in Liechtenstein.
Dylan Cachia established a new National Record time of 04:08.62 in the 400m Freestyle. The previous record of 04:09.50 was also held by Dylan himself and was achieved in Halle in March 2019.
Amy Micallef swam the 200m Breaststroke Heat and established a new National Record time of 02:37.78. The previous record of 02:38.60 was also held by Amy and was achieved in March 2019 in Zurich.
During the afternoon "A" Final, Amy once again broke the same record when she achieved a time of 02:36.00.
Thomas Wareing established a new National Record in the 200m Backstroke "A" Final with a time of 2:08.41. The previous record of 2:08.70 was also held by Thomas since August 2018 and was achieved in Glasgow.
Thomas Woods swam the 400m Medley and established a new Age Group C Record time of 05:11.15.
