A motorcyclist was injured this morning following a collision in Birkirkara, the police said.

The accident took place in Mannarino Road at 7am.

The biker, aged 38, was riding a Piaggio X8 which was involved in a collision with a Honda Accord driven by a 71-year-old man. Both men are from Birkirkara.

The biker was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
