The trend of poor results from the table tennis competition continued yesterday with the men’s team obtaining one victory and two defeats, and the women’s team suffering two defeats.
In the men’s competition Daniel Bajada and Andrew Gambina lost against Cyprus 14-12, 9-11, 3-11, 8-11 in the first match and the pair lost against Monaco 8-11, 8-11, 5-11 in their second match. Bajada and Gambina then defeated San Marino 11-7, 11-5, 7-11, 11-4 for their first victory.
The women’s pair Viktoria Lucenkova and Anthea Cutajar lost against Monaco 6-11, 4-11, 9-11, and lost again this time to Luxembourg 12-10, 3-11, 7-11, 5-11.
