To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Sette Giugno 1919 events, MaltaPost will today issue a miniature sheet bearing one stamp.
Sette Giugno is one of Malta's national days celebrated annually on 7 June, to mark the events that took place on the same day of June 1919, when riots, precipitated by the economic state of Malta post-World War I, resulted in the death of four civilian protestors following shooting by British servicemen.
measures 31mm x 44mm with a perforation of 13.9 x 14.0. The miniature sheet measures 120mm x 80mm and bears the Maltese Cross watermark. Printex Limited printed it in offset and the issue consists of 16,000. The stamp and miniature sheet have been designed by MaltaPost.
