€5,400 raised for Hospice Malta

Thursday, 6 June 2019, 10:49 Last update: about 6 years ago

On 6 May representatives from Malta University Holding Company and BRND WGN met the chief Relations officer at Hospice Malta. They were excited to hand over €5,400 which was raised from this year's BRND WGN and University Ring Road races.

MUHC has been organising these races since 2013 and in each edition has donated half the race fees to Hospice. This is the fourth year that the company has joined forces with BRND WGN. An overall increase in external support has helped the races reach new heights while at the same time raise more funds for Hospice Malta each year!

This year marked the return of Murphy, BRND WGN's mysterious man in pink who took on the Eurosport Trail Running League to help encourage more people to donate.

On 10 March, approximately 560 participants showed their support for Hospice Malta by participating in the eighth edition of this annual road running event. Records were smashed, trophies and medals were won, but more importantly everybody ran for a cause. All this led to a record amount being donated to Hospice Malta.

Hospice Malta is a voluntary not-for-profit organisation, today caring for over 1,000 patients and their families. Their services are offered free of charge to patients suffering from cancer, motor neuron disease and end life respiratory, cardiac and renal disease.
