Emanuele Buccolieri of Italy won this year's edition of the Malta International Open Grand Prix Trap Event that was organised at the Malta National Shooting Ranges in Siggiewi.
William Chetcuti took second place and celebrated collecting his third Silver piece in just one week, after he won two Silver Medals in the XVIII Games of the Small States of Europe in Montenegro.
Simone Apostolico of Italy won the Bronze Medal.
The six Finalists in the Bib number order according to their qualification scores were;
Iacopo Cipriani (ITA) hit 122/125 targets, William Chetcuti (MLT) scored 121/125, Joseph Fortunato (ITA) 120/125+3 and after a long break from the game, young and promising athlete James Galea (MLT) managed a fantastic score of 120/125+2. Emanuele Buccolieri (ITA) hit 119/125 targets, and Simone Apostolico (ITA) 118/125.

In the traditional Challenge B, the top two shooters from Classes A, B and C who did not make it to the Final Stages, competed from another round of twenty five targets from a single shot. Stephen Vella won this stage with Christopher Vella taking second place, Brian Galea took third, Jason Vella finished in forth, Emanuel Bugeja in fifth and Andrea Chiavini in sixth.
