Kevin Cutajar has just been sworn in as a new Member of Parliament.

"I am extremely honoured and proud to have been accepted as a new MP from Gozo," he said.

Cutajar was approved unanimously by the executive committee last Saturday after, a week earlier, it had been Jean Pierre Debono who was given the green light. Debono however later renounced the seat after voting irregularities were noticed and the party later decided that the seat vacated by David Stellini was to be filled up by a candidate from the same electoral district, the 13th.

Cutajar speaking in Parliament said that he is aware of the responsibility he has and will do his utmost to work hard in Parliament.

Leader of the Nationalist Party Adrian Delia said he was extremely proud of his colleague Cutajar. "I believe that the vision Kevin has for this island is one to bring the right results and to prove all those who did not believe in him wrong."
