The Mellieha SC Football School welcomes former Malta international player and well-renowned coach Maria Coppola to their coaching setup for next season.

Maria has vast experience in the game coming from a long and successful playing career in Malta and abroad where amongst others she featured for 5 years in the USA, in France with US Le Pecq and regularly for our national team.

During her coaching career, she worked with Balzan FC, Birkirkara FC, Mosta FC, Zejtun Corinthians, Siggiewi FC and at Sliema Wanderers for the last two seasons.

At the Mellieha SC Football School, she will be in charge of the U11 boys and also promoting girls football.

Maria also recently published a book detailing the beginning of women’s football in Malta, her personal story and the passion she has for the game.
