Three Maltese nationals were arrested on Sunday night in a police drug operation in Gzira.

The arrests were made in Triq il-Kubrit, the police said.

Members of the drug squad, together with personnel from the Rapid Intervention Unit, arrested three persons whose ages vary between 25 and 40. They hail from Msida, Valletta and Gzira.

Inside the residence officers found sachets containing suspected cocaine and other drug-related items. Police investigations are ongoing.
