Another Kickboxing and K1 event - Gladiators Promotions will be organizing yet another event entitled Gladiators Fight Night XXIII this coming Saturday 29th June at the Corradino Sports Pavilion.
A jam packed evening with a total of 16 bouts from local fights to title belts both in kickboxing and K1 rules. Those present will also get to witness a total of three title fights.
Jaid Agius and Julian Mangion will be battling it out for the 'Malta Kickboxing Association Title Belt' during a five rounds of two minutes each bout in the 65kg weight category - K1 Rules.
Diane Schembri will be facing a German opponent, Pia Peters for the 'WKN K1 PRO/AM European Title Belt'. Such a fight will include four rounds of two minutes each, fighting under the 57kg weight category.
Last but not least, World Champion, Keith 'Speed' Azzopardi will be competing for another World Title after claiming another victory only a couple of weeks ago. This time, Azzopardi will fight Qurban Hosseini from Team Germany/Afghanistan in a five rounds of three minutes each bout in the 60kg weight category. Winner will be crowned 'WKN K1 World Title Champion'.
A representative from the World Kickboxing Network will be present on the night to crown the newly WKN champions.
Various other renowned fighters will also be competing in various bouts throughout this event where most of our local athletes will be representing Malta against Italian and Swedish kickboxers.
Doors will open to the public at 19:00hrs and the first fight is scheduled to start at 20:00hrs. Tickets are available from all competing athletes and their respective clubs.
On Friday 28th June, all athletes are to be present for their Weighing In and Press Conference. This will be held at the Corradino Sports Pavilion and is scheduled to start at 13:00hrs. All journalists and camera crew are invited.
