The third race of the BSJ Arena Open Water Swimming Championships took place on Wednesday. A good turnout was registered despite the threat of jellyfish and a slight swell.
The Race was won by Andre Camilleri, who missed out on the second race due to international racing commitments at the Hungary Junior Swimming Championships but was back on the top place of the winners' podium in a time of 24 minutes 10 seconds. Second placed was Stefano Debono Grech followed by Nathan Cachia. All swimmers registered their best times in the Series so far, shaving off seconds from previous races.
In the Females' Category, Sarah Demicoli, who was also the second swimmer out of the water registered an other win. Similar to Camilleri, Demicoli also missed out on the second race having taken part in the FINA / CNSG Marathon Swim World Series 2019 in Hungary. Second placed was Leah Satariano who shaved off nearly two minutes from her previous timings. Third placed was Nicole Saia.
