On Saturday 13th July 2019 Assocjazzjoni Sport Muturi u Karozzi will be holding the last event of the 2018/2019 season before the summer break. The Autocross section will hold the twelfth and last event of the 2018/2019 National ASMK Pasta Poiatti Championship and the event starts at 7.00pm. This is another special event that will include the Vans Demolition Derby starting at 11.00pm.
The 2nd Edition of the Van Demolition request came immediately after the success of last year's event. For this event ASMK registered 16 drivers on van vehicles such as Ford Transit, Tata Sierra, Tata Safari, among others. The Association has already organized the meeting with the competitors registered and everything is set for next Saturday's Demolition starting at 11.00pm while the Autocross starts at 6.00pm. Tickets for both events are available at the door for €5.00 for adults while accompanied children enter for free.
Looking at the points standings where in Autocross National Championship 2018/2019 ASMK Pasta Poiatti everything seems decided in either respective classes such as Modified and Standard. In the Modified class Melo Zammit on his Opel Corsa is currently at the top of this ranking with 241 points and is followed by Terence Azzopardi on another Opel Corsa with 205 points. Zammit and Azzopardi are followed by Noel Zammit on his Fiat Punto with 172 points.
In the Standard Class it is very clear that this year's Champion is going to be Kyle Agius who is currently at the top end of his Class with 60 points. It's not the same thing in the run for second place in the same class where the real competition for 2nd place is between Johann Vella on his Opel Nova is currently in 2ndplace overall with 42 points while Vella is followed by Jerom Peplow on a Kia Avella with 41 points. This situation will be an interesting challenge between Vella and Peplow for the Runner-Up placing.
