New national & age group swimming records

During the COMEN Mediterranean Swimming Cup held between the 21st and 23rd June 2019 in Bourgas, Bulgaria, Sasha Gatt established a new National Record and an Age Group C Record in the 400m Freestyle clocking a time of 4:28.63. The previous records of 4:33.29 were held by Sasha herself since December 2018 in Gyor.

Between the 3rd and the 7th July, a team of Junior Swimmers took part in the LEN European Junior Swimming Championships 2019 held in Kazan, Russia. Most swimmers improved their Personal Best times but more importantly the following records were broken: Mya Azzopardi established a new National Record in the 200m Freestyle with a time of 2:06.76. The previous record of 2:07.20 was held by Mya since May 2019 and was achieved during the GSSE 2019 competition in Podgorica, Montenegro.

Dylan Cachia improved his National Record in the 400m Freestyle with a time of 4:08.58. Previously, his time was 4:08.62 and was achieved April 2019 in Gzira.

Dylan Cachia also established a new National Record in the 800m Freestyle clocking a time of 08:39.85. The previous record of 08:43.44 was held by Dylan himself and was achieved in Gzira in February 2019.

Andrea Mallia improved the Age Group D record for 200m Breaststroke with a time of 2:24.48. The previous record of 2:27.14 was held by Andrea and was achieved in July 2018 in Genk.
