TA' XBIEX AMIGOS...................... 7

MARSASKALA FISH AND FISH...... 9

(4-3), (2-2), (1-1), (0-3)

Ta' Xbiex Amigos might feel robbed of a qualification to the knock-out semi-final after losing 9-7 to Marsaskala Fish and Fish. They protested for goals in two occasions in the last session but due to the fact that there weren't any goal judges, the referees made the judgement.

Both teams went back and forth in the first session as Ta' Xbiex were three times in the lead but Marsaskala equalised in three occasions from a brace by Jan Culic and Jean Claude Cutajar. Nenad Kacar kept Ta' Xbiex in the lead at the last part of the session.

Kacar scored his second goal of the game to put Ta' Xbiex 5-3 in front. Albeit with difficulty, Marsaskala managed to equalise from two goals by Luca Felice and Konstantin Averka but Niccolo Gitto kept Ta' Xbiex in the lead few seconds later.

Nenad Kacar kept his team in the lead as at that point Ta' Xbiex were the better team. Kristijan Milakovic reduced the gap from a quick man-up after Niall Saliba was sent-off.

In the last session, Ta' Xbiex protested for a goal that was not given as referee Ronnie Spiteri judged that the ball did not cross the line. Milakovic equalised few seconds later. Marsaskala took the lead for the first time two and a half minutes before the end of the game from Jan Culic. The youngster scored his fourth personal goal to close the game as he scored again from a man-up situation, leaving Ta' Xbiex empty handed after a brave display.
