Another great result for Malta weightlifting with a bronze medal at the European Masters Games in Torino.

The multi-sports Games saw Masters category (35 years+) form all over Europe compete in various sports including weightlifting. Matthew Camilleri, who turned 35 last January, competed in the 89kg category and managed to finish in 3rd place overall with his 105kg snatch, 130kg clean and jerk and 235kg total. 

The veteran athlete was accompanied on the podium by the Ukrainian athlete in 1st place with a  and the Polish athlete who finished in second place.
