The draws for the first phase of the FA Trophy for season 2019-20 were made on Thursday at The Trophies Lounge Ta' Qali. The first phase of the FA Trophy includes the first three stages, the preliminary round, the first round and the second round.

In this phase 67 clubs (14 First Division sides, 13 Second Division sides, 12 Third Division sides, and 14 Gozitan sides) go in action. The fourteen Premier League sides will enter the competition from the Third Round.

Preliminary Round matches will be played from 6-8 September, and the First Round matches a week later between the 13^th and 15^th September. Second Round matches are scheduled for 25, 26, and 27 October, and the Third Round involving the Premier League sides will be played in the last days of November.
