Popular Italian television presenter Nadia Toffa, who conducted 'Le Iene' on Italia Uno, died of cancer today, Italian media report. She was 40 years old.
She had been diagnosed with a brain tumour in December 2017.
Le Iene is a long-standing show that mixes investigative reporting with comedy.
Toffa was awarded the Ischia International Journalism Award "Special Prize - Television Presenter of the Year" in 2015.
In 2017, hers was the third most searched-for personal name on Google in Italy.
