Serbia       19
Malta          4
(5-1, 5-0, 5-1, 4-2)

Malta's bold effort against Russia on Tuesday left its toll on the local boys who were brushed aside by Serbia on Wednesday in a one way traffic affair.

Serbia dominated all sessions, killing Malta's hopes by the half way line with a nine-goal lead. Malta failed to take advantage from numerical superiorities, scoring only once from eleven man-up situations.

Jake Muscat scored a brace for the Maltese, with the other two goals coming from Sebastian Busuttil and Lucas Falzon.

Malta will now face Georgia on Thursday morning in the semi final for a placing between ninth and twelfth place. The other semi final is between the Netherlands and Croatia.
